While other online networks might be bigger – Facebook now has more members than the entire U.S. population – LinkedIn is specifically tailored to the world of work. No Mafia Wars. No Farmville. Instead, you’ll find people talking shop, looking for jobs or job candidates and connecting with colleagues past, present and future.

Heard of LinkedIn but I am not familiar with its uses. I think it should be a great place to exchange view and news right?

Thanks for linking to this article! I (age 30) am doing research for an article I’m writing today for my blog and got into a debate with my boyfriend (age 41) about LinkedIn and it’s importance for job seekers.
He argued that his age and above do not understand LinkedIn and do not want to understand it. I explained that, while change may be difficult for some, if one is without a job at any age in 2010, they are going to have to learn how to use LinkedIn. Heck… if they use only one online tool, it should be LinkedIn, in my opinion.
