Freelancers may work alone, but we deserve an office party at Christmas too, don’t we?
If you’re a Portland area writer, help us make merry at a holiday gathering on Monday, Dec. 19, at McMenamins Tavern & Pool on NW 23rd. The fun starts at 6:30 p.m. No need to RSVP, just show up – although if you are planning to attend I’d love to know so I can watch for you.
Besides a healthy smattering of freelancers, expect to see journalists from the local Society of Professional Journalists chapter, Oregon News Incubator, Online News Association, Oregonian, (Vancouver) Columbian, Neighborhood Notes and other hyperlocal news organizations.
