WordCount post included in The New Writer's Handbook 2008

I’m happy to announce that a post from WordCount, my blog about freelance writing, will appear in The New Writer’s Handbook 2008, an anthology about writing scheduled to be published in August by Scarletta Press.

The post, Asking the Hard Questions is a list of tips for conducting tough interviews.

The New Writer’s Handbook 2008 is the second edition of the anthology, which debuted last year. Like the previous edition, the new one includes articles from several dozen writers covering topics related to writing fiction and nonfiction. Earlier this month, The New Writer’s Handbook 2007 won a gold medal in the Careers category at the ForeWord Magazine’s Book of the Year Award ceremonies at Book Expo 2008 in Los Angeles.

The book was created by Great Lakes Literary a Milwaukee, Wisconsin, editorial services and publishing company owned and operated by Philip Martin, former acquisitions editor for The Writer magazine’s books division. At The Writer Books, Martin produced books for professional writers on craft and career advice. He also blogs about writing at The Writer’s Handbook Blog.
