Time to vote!
The live chat I hosted for the end of the 2010 WordCount Blogathon went so well, people have asked whether I’d consider doing more real-time Twitter events on a regular basis.
I’m game if you are.
But I don’t want to hold more chats if nobody wants to come.
So I’m putting it to a vote. Are you interested in regular live chats? If so, what would you want to discuss: writing, editing, tech tools for writers, the freelance business or changes in the media industry?
Help me decide by taking two very short polls.
The first one asks how frequently you’d participate in a WordCount live chat.
The second asks what topics you’d want to learn more about in a WordCount live chat.
I’ll provide the results of both in an upcoming blog post.

Good luck with your poll. I’m curious how you will analyze the results.
Neat idea, Michelle. I do hope that you find some way to make this a profitable (or at least break even) proposition. We all know time is our most precious commodity and running something like this will definitely use some of yours.
Don’t be afraid to monetize these chats w/ a sponsor, ads, affiliate sales or something else! At the very least set up a donation box!
Good idea to look for sponsors for live chats – I can think of a few possibilities already.

Did you run the chat via twitter? With people simply hashtagging and refreshing? That seems tedious, no? Why not tiny chat or stickam?
I wouldn’t want to clog my followers’ Twitter feeds with real time continuous posting… or did it not work that way? Thanks!
