One thing about BarCamps: the participants create the schedule, so just because there's a discussion on a certain topic at one doesn't mean there'll be the same discussion at another one.

If you're headed to a BarCamp and are interested in getting a discussion on online news or any other topic on the agenda, you need to: give people a head's up ahead of time that you want to discuss the subject - Twitter or blog posts are a good way to do that. Also, show up for the BarCamp agenda planning session that normally happens the night before the main event day. If you do, you can lobby to get your session in the meetings grid. BarCamps have hashtags so once your session's on the grid, you can tweet about it with the appropriate hashtag to drum up even more interest.

Omg, you are so right! I didn't get to go but my boss, one of the co-Founders of Vois.com told me about it. He recently went to BarCampOrlando. I'm going to have to find out when and where the next one is in my region. I would really love to attend.
