		<description>Thanks for the post, Michelle! Of course, I was procrastinating by looking at blogs when I read this -- but this time, it paid off!

My favorite tip for overcoming writer&#039;s block: Block out a period of time -- say half an hour, or even just 15 minutes if you&#039;re really averse to the task (sounds ridiculous, but it&#039;s easy to convince yourself to do something for just 15 minutes, even if it&#039;s something you dread) -- and dedicate that to writing. Don&#039;t check your email, turn off the IM, don&#039;t answer the phone or surf the web. Just stare at the page for the whole time if you have to. Just don&#039;t do *anything* else at all for that time. Chances are you won&#039;t end up staring at the page the whole time.
