		<description>Agreed. I often pitch elements from my trade magazine sidebars as stand-alone FOBs for consumer publications. Most trade mags do big trend pieces 1-3 years before mainstream media catches a clue. You have to time it just right, but you can make that lag work for you when you pitch.</description>

		<description>Thanks Sharon! One of the editors I met on my recent trip to New York was for a new-to-me trade that&#039;s in an up-and-coming but very tech-intense field. One of the reasons I&#039;m interested in doing this, despite the steep learning curve, is because they pay very well. But it&#039;s a technology that&#039;s showing up in more consumer products so I hope to sell stories about it to consumer and business magazines as well. Gotta think about those re-slants.
